lively lines – the title of our new exhibition at the galerie gugging vienna says it all, because this time everything revolves around the theme of lines. The inspiring impulse was given to us by the upcoming autumn exhibition in Maria Gugging, in which the artist Loys Egg and the Gugging old master Oswald Tschirtner will meet in a very special way.
Curator Irina Katnik puts it in a nutshell: “Lines have always occupied the Gugging Artists. While Heinrich Reisenbauer positions his motifs accurately side by side and beneath one another, Laila Bachtiar prefers a dense net of lines in her works, with which she builds up her works.”
In our galerie gugging vienna, a mix of exciting artists awaits you with lively lines. What is special about the works is that they are all reduced to the essential. In addition, we are pleased to present works by the versatile artist Loys Egg in our exhibition for the first time, whose comprehensive œuvre ranges from sculptures, installations and drawings to photographs and music. His works will be on display at the galerie gugging vienna together with works by Basel Al-Bazzaz, Laila Bachtiar, Fritz Koller, Johannes – Lejo – Lechner, Rudolf Limberger (Max), Heinrich Reisenbauer, Arnold Schmidt, Jürgen Tauscher, Oswald Tschirtner and August Walla.
