We would be pleased to welcome you at our booth B11 at this year’s Drawing Now Paris. We are presenting two great drawers: Karl Vondal and Leopold Strobl.
Karl Vondal’s preference for the design of complex systems is erotic representation. His typical pastel shades and delicate pencil strokes are always countered by accents in Indian ink, giving the contours a stronger expression. Leopold Strobl, with his clear lines, is a master at making objects and people – that are revealed in the image he is working on – “invisible” through his overpaintings with pencil. In a skillful manner, he allows the surroundings of the forms thus created through the use of the colours yellow and green to shine in a special light. That is what makes the magic of his works. The technique of collage on and with paper and working with landscapes and forms unites the artists, who at first glance, seem to be quite diverse.
