Julia Hanzl was born in 1982 in Vienna, Austria, and hails from a family of artists. In addition to her independent artistic activity, the autodidactic artist has also realised numerous commissioned works in the past few years. She is known for her ceramics, mixed media sculptures, porcelain and bronze editions and her ceramic sculptures in combination with animal preparations. Her works are exhibited both nationally and internationally and can be found in private collections. She cur­rently lives in Mödling, Austria, where she works as a freelance artist.
