Galleria Doppia V presents the exhibition Zigzag à Ziguinchor by Swiss artist François Burland. For several years, Burland has been traversing the streets of Ziguinchor and the Lower Casamance, meeting local painters, photographing their work and collecting hand-painted shop signs whose expressive power he was among the first to recognise – images that blend colonial advertising models, local decorative traditions and personal invention into a spontaneous visual language. The exhibition runs until 24 April 2026. The artist will be present at the opening.

The exhibition is accompanied by the volume Zigzag à Ziguinchor, gathering the photographs taken by François Burland during his research (Pagine d’Arte & Salvioni Edizioni, Collezione Shadow Cabinet).
