Rudolf Liemberger was born in 1937 in Baden, Austria, and died in 1988. Known under the pseudonym “Max”, he began his artistic career drawing angular human figures. The bodies, which were empty and consisted merely of a single contour at the beginning, were soon partially and then completely covered in pencil strokes. His works can be found in the Lentos Art Museum, Austria, and in the Arnulf Rainer Collection, Austria, among others.
