Vorstadt-Gräfin (Elisabeth) was born in 1908 in Switzerland. Little or nothing is known about her childhood, youth and time of death. During her stay at the psychiatric university hospital in Lausanne, she visited its painting studio since 1964 and gave herself the name “Vorstadt-Gräfin” (Suburban Countess). The themes of her drawings are people, animals, good and evil, love and suffering. Her works were shown at the Kunstforum Vienna, Austria.
