Alfred Neumayr was born in 1958 in Tulln, Austria, and passed away in 2021. Since the beginning of 2011, he was a daily visitor at the atelier gugging, where he initially painted with acrylic or watercolours. Soon, however, he began to produce finely elaborated Indian ink drawings. Neumayr experimented with various pens, applied, scratched, pricked, worked coloured Indian ink or pencil into it, thined down, or mixed. As a base plate, he used different types of canvases or paperboards. His works can be found in public and private collections such as the Collection de l’Art Brut, Switzerland, and the Diamond Collection, Austria.
